Our farm is located on South Shore Hay Bay. There is a rich history in the area with our current neighbors ancestors having been the original settlers. Historically, it is a loyalist farm that was given to the settlers who came up from the USA after the revolution in year 1783.
The original foundation can still be seen along the waterfront where a small home would have been built. Up on the hill there is the small grave site of these settlers.
We run a organic small farm operation and now looking to offer bunkie rentals on our private waterfront ( 850 feet of waterfront ). The farm is 86 acres with almost 40 of them in natural woods that our guests are welcome to explore.
We have chickens for eggs and a vegetable garden, we also sell fresh vegetables in season at our road side stand. Generally, organic freezer beef and chickens are also raised here for sale.
We have off grid bunkies for rent along the waterfront, with plenty of space between each bunkie to ensure privacy. There are many places to explore from here or just rest and enjoy the quietness of the woods.
Located approximately 45 minutes to downtown Kingston with a scenic waterfront drive, to the Sand Banks over in the Picton area after a lovely short ferry ride are among some of the areas attractions.
We are looking to offer a quiet holistic place to relax, go swimming, go fishing, use our canoe, go for walks in the woods and generally have a quiet get-a-way. Timeless memories can be made here.
Your hosts Marina and Peter both work from home so will be available to answer your questions and help out. Guests motorized vehicles are not permitted in the back area for safety concerns and to keep it peaceful for our guests.
Our bunkies are designed to give you a place to camp out with just a hint of modern conveniences. Each bunkie will have a BBQ for cooking, a small fridge, outdoor deck for relaxing and eating from, queen or double beds, small food prep and eating area indoors.
12 volt solar powered lights and water system, with an outdoor shower and composting toilet are located in the outhouse behind the bunkie. Potable water is supplied, with water from the bay used for washing etc.
Our dream is to have guests enjoying our farm as much as we have over the years….
